Dana Forrest, MSW, LCSW, MEdOwner/TherapistI was born and raised in Southern Ocean County, NJ. I have worked locally and internationally with youth and adults on a variety of levels. I got my start at School Based Youth Services (SBYS) at Pinelands Regional School District in 2010, where I began as Coordinator of a Teen Outreach Program & eventually became the team lead therapist for individual, group, and family therapy. I am a certified Challenge Course Supervisor. I have held many positions along the way- as an in home therapist, adjunct professor (Rowan University and Middlesex County College), mentor, & sexual victim advocate. I have lived abroad in Fiji with the Peace Corps and worked along side the Minister of Health & Minister of Education. I have assisted with writing text books, holding training of trainers, hosting presentations for schools, and much more! For the last 6 years, I have worked in the Psychiatric Emergency Room at Southern Ocean Medical Center and Ocean University Medical Center, where I currently hold the position as supervisor. In 2024, I earned Hackensack Meridian's Hall of Fame Leader status, due to providing consistent and meaningful attention to my team members and exceptional outcomes.
Through all of my work, I have learned how to connect with every walk of life. As humans, we share a desire to be seen, known, and understood. We are missing this in the world now. Kids, teens, & young adults are particularly affected by a large gap in their development. I have the knowledge, skills, and strategy to make a difference in yours and your child's life. |
